We are a diverse team of technology practitioners looking to outserve fellow employees with positive, personalized IT experiences.     Get to know the Role:

    The Automation Engineer plays an important IT management role that is essential to GXS in ensuring smooth daily operation and management of tasks/projects for the business.

    You are expected to:
    • Driving value for GXS through automations: finding the opportunities by proactively working together with other internal IT or business stakeholders, creating solutions that add value, delivering and supporting them excellence
    • Be the champion and evangelist of automation capabilities within Enterprise Technology and with key stakeholder functions senior leadership
    • Contribute to the execution of IT governance and compliance processes and procedures
    • Initiative in building new ways of working to improve operational excellence
    The must haves:
    • Functional exposure (e.g. solution consultant, business analyst) to designing end-to-end complex automations between multiple systems
    • Solid technical foundation (even with limited hands-on experience) in enterprise SaaS / PaaS integration, automation, and API management platforms such as Workato (preferred), Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, TibCo, JitterBit etc..
    • Knowledge of RESTful API's and and data structures (JSON)
    • Exposure with Cloud business applications either in functional areas like Workday, Oracle Fusion, Salesforce or productivity platforms like GSuite, Slack, Office 365
    • A passion for motivating, developing and mentoring internal & external teams; strong in hiring, team building and organizational development
    • Solid ITIL knowledge on service operations and service management. Experience with different project management approaches (e.g. waterfall, agile)
    • Vendor / stakeholder and people management skills, experience with RFP's, procurement processes and budgeting
    • Excellent soft skills - able to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment. Open-minded, creative and innovative.
