    The appointee will be part of the team from Singapore Polytechnic's User Experience Centre. He/she will be able to lead and provide domain expertise in Design Thinking and/or User Experience Design, to lead with respect to industry domain area in building and developing strategic engagements and partnerships with industry partners and lead consultancy project(s) with focus on physical and/or digital products and services; to mentor & train junior staff in area of specialisation.

    [What you will be working on]

    Responsibilities:-

  • Lead and Coordinate with local and regional partners to bring in consultancy, project work, training workshop, teaching in pre-employment training, continuous education training short courses and programmes, business development and internationalization work with regional partners in ASEAN.
  • Lead and develop strategies with the team to grow Singapore Polytechnic as a thought leader in Design Thinking/Humanity-Centered Innovation regionally.
  • Coordinate with other centres/schools in business development efforts to bring in leads for consultancy and projects.
  • Ensure project continuity and transformation beyond their initial scopes and identify additional opportunities within the client's organization for strategic long-term partnership and collaboration.

    Requirements:-

  • More than 4 – 8 years of work experience
  • Positive, dynamic individual with ability to lead and/or oversee multiple project teams to achieve the highest level of performance without compromising timelines and team harmony.
  • Proficiency with user research, design and prototyping tools and methods
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to guide high performing teams using persuasion and influence (rather than command and control)
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • Strong eye for details and above all have a burning curiosity to learn and understand, and make sense of data.
  • Highly adaptable and resourceful
  • Responsible, meticulous and highly organised individual with the ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
