We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Manager, Business Financial Crime Risk, NFR - Wholesale.


Principal Responsibilities


This role will work alongside the Senior Manager, BFCR and report directly to the local Wholesale Head of Non-Financial Risk, The Singapore Wholesale Business Financial Crime Risk forms part of the Wholesale Chief Operating Office.


  • Support Financial Crime related investigations for Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions and Payment Fraud related activities that have been identified as having elevated levels of financial crime risk across Wholesale Banking
  • Provide advisory and direction to Senior Stakeholders in Wholesale Banking on Financial Crime investigations or intelligence referrals
  • Leverage digital, data and analytics tooling to enhance the overall FCR control environment. Supersede manual controls with automated strategic solutions, challenging false positive rates through streamlined effectiveness and control accuracy
  • Maintain close working relationship with internal stakeholders in wholesale business, products and risk functions. Actively participate in working group forums and governance committees
  • Provide high quality updates to provide accurate, timely and insightful analysis of the progress of Financial Crime related events and evolving typologies that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision making
  • Contribute to recommend changes and improvements, facilitate controls remediation where required, ensuring derisking initiatives are tracked on an ongoing basis through governance;
  • Guide and empower business frontline and middle office on Financial Crime Risk (FCR) initiatives, supporting the sustainable embedment of FCR culture and awareness
  • Support to manage internal and external audit requirements

Qualifications

  • A sound knowledge of Global and/or Commercial Banking business in Front Office, including credit & lending, trade & payment products, services, systems and processes.
  • Good understanding of risk management and controls around financial crime, preferably gained through experience in risk related roles within front and middle office
  • Sound knowledge of changing banking regulations and fraud risk concept in the financial sector
  • Good relationship management and experience working with senior management
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work independently under pressure and to challenging timeframes within a team environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new policies, process and technology and deliver complex content in an informative and convincing way
  • Strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve complex problems whilst adhering to timelines and quality of output into useful, insightful and concise recommendations and consider alternative and lateral solutions
  • Strong communication, facilitation and coaching skills whilst dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders and team members, distributed across functions and locations
  • Proven track record of developing course support materials and documentation
