Roles & Responsibilities

Amazon Web Services, a global leader in cloud technology, offers a wide range of services to customers worldwide. From startups to large enterprises, many rely on AWS to support their infrastructure and drive innovation.

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team focuses on revenue growth across various market segments, including small- and mid-market accounts, enterprise customers, and public sector organizations. The AWS Global Support team plays a crucial role in ensuring customer success by providing top-notch support services and working closely with companies utilizing AWS services for their critical applications.

Join our team as a Manager, Solutions Architect at AWS and take on the challenge of driving business growth and establishing AWS as a leading technology platform. In this role, you will lead a team of Solutions Architects, develop strategies to promote Amazon's web services, and engage with customers to drive successful project implementations.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record in team management, a deep technical background, and excellent customer-facing skills. Your role will involve owning technical engagements, building expertise in AWS technologies, and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure customer success.

Key job responsibilities

Hire, develop, and grow a team of Solutions Architects
Support the business in achieving its goals
Assist customers in building applications and services on the AWS platform
Implement programs to enhance the Solutions Architecture team's effectiveness
Communicate and collaborate with diverse teams in Mandarin and English
Share best practices with the solution architect community
Stay updated on AWS market segments and industry trends
Utilize internal Amazon systems effectively
Some travel may be required

Basic qualifications

10+ years of enterprise IT experience, including hands-on software development or DevOps engineering
2+ years of experience with cloud providers like Azure, AWS, GCP
8+ years of technology solutions development and cloud computing experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience leading senior technology teams in customer-facing roles

Preferred qualifications

Experience in cloud solution architecture and migration
