Overview of the role
We are currently looking for an Accountability Director, to join the GroupM Investment team.


GroupM Investment lead the overall investment strategy for the group, with the objective to maximise value delivery for our clients.

The team oversee partnerships, price competitiveness, pitch and audit management, investment intelligence and investment solutions, helping our clients make advertising work better for people.


The Director will be responsible for the reporting, analysis and implementation of key investment data across pricing benchmarks, market inflation, media spend trends, and client commitment performance.


This person will be expected to lead the market inflation forecasting process and reporting, provide regular updates on investment trends across the Group and the APAC Industry, track key client commitments and delivery, identifying and managing support requirements, as well as support agencies in pitch and audit process to ensure pricing competitiveness and delivery best practices.

This is a senior position that requires advanced capabilities and experience in media investment and accountability management. The director will serve as the SME on pricing, pitching, and audits to drive best practice across the group. In particular in the ongoing evolution of digital accountability practice.


In addition, as a member of the regional team based in Singapore, you will be guiding the market investment and agency teams, through the delivery of training & enablement plans, coordinating regional project rollouts, and being an escalation point for market support.

Responsibilities of the role:


  • Lead and manage the Market Inflation Forecasting Process and reporting for all APAC markets, ensuring ongoing intelligence to fuel management updates, and support agency and client investment strategy.
  • Prepare and present regular reporting on investment trends and intelligence across Group and APAC industry, including supporting the APAC markets on the This Year, Next Year report.
  • Support agency teams in Tracking and delivery of key client commitments, and management of any relevant contractual requirements from the Group.
  • Support agency teams in audit management and best practice. Support the ongoing relationships with key auditors.
  • Management of Pitch pricing benchmarking and competitiveness assessments to ensure effective pitch conversions from pricing and value.
  • Support agencies on pitch process and ensure best practices are defined and followed.
  • Provide training & support to investment teams in both their responsibilities and developing new capabilities in accountability.
  • Any other adhoc projects or tasks relevant to the position.
  • Build a great working relationship with your team, market teams and key client teams, operating seamlessly together to deliver success for our clients.

Measures of Success -

In 3 months:


  • Develop strong working relationships with all team members and relevant stakeholders (e.g. agencies, markets, GMN buying teams).
  • An excellent understanding of how to access relevant data, generate required reports and present analysis to the Investment team and key stakeholders.

In 6 months:


  • Actively be managing price benchmarking support for all key agency pitches.
  • Actively supporting the ongoing management of auditors and audit best practice.

In 12 months:


  • Implemented skills training programs for group and agency investment teams, with demonstrated increase in capabilities within the team
  • Identified and built digital accountability best practices
  • Fuelling and supporting the investment data intelligence program for the group

What you will need:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Eg Economics, Marketing, Finance)
  • 7+ years of related work experience in the field of investment management, media buying, pitching and audit management
  • Thorough understanding of all media, including digital media channels (in particular search, social & programmatic) & digital media metrics.
  • Proven ability to extract insights from data and present findings
  • Highly organised, detail orientated, with demonstrated project management capabilities
  • Flexibility to work in a crossfunctional team but also have the initiative to problem solve independently
