Roles & Responsibilities

Metta Welfare Association (Metta) was founded in 1992 by Venerable Chao Khun Fa Zhao BBM. He is also the President of Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple and Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum.

Registered as a society in 1994, Metta is presently endorsed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Education (MOE). We are also members of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), Singapore Hospice Council and Singapore Disability Sports Council.

As a recognition of our efforts in pursuing Business Excellence, we have been awarded the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) with People certification in October 2018.

Metta was also awarded the Charity Transparency Awards (CTA) in 2019. The Award recognises charities with good disclosure practices that the Charity Transparency Framework (CTF) recommends to encourage charities to be more transparent and to recognise them for their disclosure efforts.

As a Project Manager, the candidate is responsible in the following areas :

1.Project Responsibilities

Determine and define the project scope and objectives
Determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Forecast payment schedule for project
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders on adjustments and progress
Utilise industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout the project execution
Liaise with the Government Agencies, Consultants team, Construction Team and Sub contractors

2.Administration

Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
Track project costs in order to meet budget
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

3.Others

To support any other projects as required by management

Requirements

Preferably with at least five years of experience
Degree in either Architecture, Engineering, or Management
Written and verbal communication skills
Capacity to manage high stress situations
Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
Leadership skills
Big-picture thinking and vision
