We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial F&B Manager/Head Bartender to join us in our new business venture into the bar and café scene in Singapore. Your primary role will be to oversee and manage our F&B pillar, ensuring all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently. Your impeccable attention to detail, with your penchant for exceptional customer service, will play a pivotal role in the success of this role.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with menu development — especially in cocktail development, bar and café operations, supervising staff, and F&B financial management. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, gracefully tackles challenges, and adapts well to last-minute changes with finesse.
Because we are a small team, we all wear multiple hats and are happy to roll up our sleeves and lend a hand whenever needed. Can-do attitudes and respectful, inclusive outlooks are greatly valued and expected of all team members.
Responsibilities:
Menu development: (i) create and update beverage menu seasonally, including specialty cocktails (ii) price drinks appropriately to maintain profitability (iii) stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate them into the menu.
Mixing and serving drinks: (i) prepare drinks with high proficiency and consistency (ii) customise drinks based on customer preferences.
Staff management: (i) train and develop team members, including bartenders, barbacks, and servers (ii) manage work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels (iii) work with employment agencies to select the best staff to work with on a regular basis.
Inventory control: (i) manage the bar and café inventory (ii) order and restock as needed (iii) monitor and control costs to maximise profitability.
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bar and café.
Engagement with customers to forge loyalty to the bar and café.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar and café area and ensure all equipment is in good working condition — report if any issues.
Ensure all legal requirements are adhered to, including wage, hours and breaks, health and safety.
Requirements:
Singaporean or Permanent Resident.
A minimum of two to three years of experience as a bar manager or bartender of a leading cocktail bar in Singapore.
Experience in internationally-awarded bars is a big plus point.
A passion for excellence in hospitality.
Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive attitude.
Able to effectively manage different stakeholders.
Flexible working schedules — the ability to work night shifts, weekends, and on public holidays.
Proficiency in a variety of technology systems including Microsoft Office and POS systems.
The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
