Title:

Process Safety Engineer


Responsibilities:


  • Under supervision or independently carry out Design Safety Philosophies, Specifications for fire protection systems (Active & Passive), data sheet for firefighting systems
  • Develop UFDs, PIDS for the fire protection systems and carry out Fire water/foam demand calculations (incl. Gas suppression system) and Firewater system Hydraulic check analysis
  • Prepare Hazardous Area Classification Source release schedule/ report and its Drawings, Fire Zone drawings, Safety & Fire Fighting, Life saving equipment layouts, Escape route drawings, Safey Signs Drawings, Firefighting Nozzle coverage shadow
  • Support in review/ consolidate comments and coordination in Third Party Studies including FERA, Dispersion analysis, EERA, ESSA, Dropped objects study,TRIA, Ship collision study, QRA studies. etc. (not limited too)
  • Assist in preparation of Active and Passive Fire Protection, Lifesaving, Safety signs packages (incl. prepare requisition, datasheets, ) and PFP schedule document
  • Support in TBE, vendor Docs. review in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrument Package on Safety (incl. HFE) aspects
  • Assist safety inputs include ergonomics/ Human factors Engineering for projects, as required
  • Interface/ coordinate with other Engineering disciplines for resolving technical matters related to safety aspects
  • Interact/coordinate with designers & provide inputs for Safety layout preparations for projects, as required

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Person shall have 37 years HSE Engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry, in Process Safety/ Technical Safety
  • Involved in design projects for Offshore (FPSO/Platforms) or Onshore (Refineries, LNG facilities, Storage terminal etc)
  • Possess good knowledge of Oil & Gas facilities, local and international regulatory codes & standards and the ability to influence designs to achieve optimal HSE outcomes
  • Familiar with plot plan reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL classification/ verification and other Safety reviews (e.g.
SIMOPS, ALARP) is preferred

  • Working Knowledge of local/owners safety regulations for Singapore projects will be added value
  • Good working knowledge in PIPENET Vision, Flaresim and other consequence modelling software such as DNV PHAST etc. preferred
