Our client, a local bank, is looking to hire a Doc Checker/Trade Operations, Assistant Manager/Manager to check Import & Export documents drawn under LC and liaise with customers on document discrepancies and provide appropriate advice on rectification and further handling.

Further, to follow up and attend to acceptances/payments, dishonor of documents and issue rebuttals if necessary.

Qualifications:

Highly conversant with general LC practice rules (ie UCP600, ISP98, ISBP and URR725), expert opinions and legal decisions
Familiarity with LCs for the commodities trade (energy, hard and soft commodities) would be advantageous
Good understanding of trade finance with the ability to evaluate options and provide solutions
