    Roles & Responsibilities

    What you'll do:

    • To collaborate with the OPU Compliance Manager to ensure an effective compliance function exists whose remit is to ensure ethics & compliance governance within the MSI business
    • to support the ROPU Head of Legal and ROPU Senior Compliance Manager in respect of all legal compliance activities respectively for the SG OPU business
    • Regularly attends and reports to the MSI Executive Committee and/or the Compliance Committee.
    • Support the implementation of all elements of an effective program (such as policies & procedures, processes and tools, reporting, case handling and investigation, remediation and disciplinary sanction) to meet all applicable standards and recognized guidelines within MSI.
    • Provide advice to the MSI functions and GM on legal and compliance related topics mainly in respect of the SG OPU business;
    • Work with local MSI OPU compliance officer on performing and regularly updating the SG OPU country Compliance Risk Assessments in order to create and maintain a comprehensive compliance risk register and manage identified risks appropriately according to the Corporate Risk Assessment guidelines.
    • Liaise with and advise various MSI business & functions on Legal topics by understanding their needs and helping them to achieve their objectives acknowledging and observing current regulatory boundaries and anticipating future developments in the regulatory environment.
    • Ensure that significant changes in applicable laws and regulations in MY,SG and Indonesia are identified, communicated, adopted/adhered to and reflected in internal procedures and documentation.

    What you bring:

    • Education: strong Bachelor or Postgraduate academic credentials with background in law and major in risk management and compliance
    • Experience: 3- 5+ years' experience in legal practice and in-house legal counsel role in a multi-national company in the healthcare, FMCG and/or pharmaceutical sector.
    • Some after normal business hours and on-call work will be required.
    • Strong Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills
    • Strong intellectual capacity and ability to learn and comprehend complex business strategies as well as compliance environments. Strong backbone and ability to influence senior management. High level of assertiveness, consciously influencing strategies between advising, proposing and imposing.
    • Excellent communication skills. Ability to connect to all layers and functions within the organization
    • Business partner-oriented mindset. Proven leadership capabilities, flexibility and creativity. Ability to work independently as well as collaborative in a fast-paced organization, to prioritize and to effectively manage multiple tasks at the same time while making decisions in a timely manner:
