As an Associate Manager/Manager (Communications), expect to learn quickly on your feet, write daily and engage with the media frequently.

Reporting to the Associate Director overseeing communications at KPMG in Singapore, you'll be working proactively to get the word out on our news and expertise to both local and international media.

You'll also be required to write on a variety of topics and to be comfortable communicating across print, broadcast and online channels.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the driving of the external communications strategy aligned to the firm's mission, vision and goals.

PR/Media:


  • Maintain and build media relationships.
  • Drive PR efforts such as media interviews, media releases, media queries etc.
  • Proactive media engagement and pitching of stories
  • Proactive development and/or adaption of regular key thought leadership and news content to drive "earned" media through media channels.
  • Support crisis communications efforts
  • Storytelling campaigns for brand positioning

Thought leadership content:Editorial and strategic oversight in the development and/or adaptation/localisation of thought-leading content and reports for various target audiences and stakeholders, along with the ability to leverage effective marketing and communications channels to amplify.

Leadership profile development: Support in development of profiles and leadership-positioning content for selected firm leaders via digital/social (Eg. LinkedIn articles, content development)


Qualifications:


  • A driven and energetic individual with minimum of bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business or a related field.
  • Seasoned communicator with minimum 5 years of experience (for Assistant Manager) or minimum 8 years' experience (for Manager). Preferably used to project managing across a large company or MNC.
  • Sensitive to news angles and interest in interacting with and pitching to media.
  • Ability to creatively develop new and original communications materials with mínimal guidance.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a commitment to the highest quality standards.
  • Comfortable writing on a range of topics from sustainability to finance
  • Able to research, conceptualise and create clear, compelling and influential communications from opeds to whitepapers
  • Strong initiative, excellent followthrough, attention to detail and high sense of urgency.
  • Resultsoriented; takes pride in delivering consistently highquality work and effectively conveys its value.
  • Team player with proven ability to build relationships across business units and functional areas.
