Senior Software Developer Engineering,
Full-Time

THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Developer has opened up in our vibrant and fast-moving environment.

You should have expertise covering back-end stack, APIs, and databases, along with the ability to efficiently and safely develop, test, deploy, and manage these products.

Moreover, you will play a key role in exploring and assessing new methodologies and technologies to enhance the quality, reliability, and performance of the team's development systems and processes.

Relationships
You will collaborate with a scrum team, reporting to the tech lead, and working closely with team members as required.


Responsibilities:


You will be in charge of the following tasks:
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable software modules using Laravel and PHP
- Deliver self-documenting code in a prompt manner, participating in full-stack PHP development from concept to deployment
- Attend client meetings for briefings and idea communications, translating business requirements into technical specifications- Design and implement innovative, robust technical solutions
- Support and guide the team of developers, ensuring high-quality work through code reviews
- Help define best practices and standards for modern web development across the organization
- Handle maintenance, enhancements, and new development tasks as needed- Interact securely and reliably with 3rd Party APIs in a scalable manner
- Assist in resolving complex performance issues and architectural challenges- Plan, test, and articulate software solutions in detail to other engineers
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, reporting directly to the CTO.
Technical Skills
- Proven experience as a Laravel/PHP Developer with at least 6 years of full-stack experience
- Embrace a test-driven approach to software development- Showcase strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Knowledge of concurrent and parallel processing, ideally at scale
- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance for APIs- Proficient in code versioning tools, particularly Git
- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Familiarity with server tools like Nginx and cloud servers such as AWS
Education
No specific educational requirements exist here. While a computer science degree is beneficial, completion of a reputable Bootcamp coupled with relevant experience is equally welcome.


Requirements:

Desirable qualifications include familiarity with AWS services, Sentry, and Jira, along with a good understanding of Redis and MySQL
