Civil Engineer - Singapore - ASIA TUNNELLING & CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD

Description

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in overseeing and reviewing all aspects of tunnel construction and alignment tasks.
2. Review construction documents and provide support to project managers in directing contractors' work.
3. Conduct quality control checks during construction, including reviewing specifications, drawings, and assisting with constructability reviews.
4. Enhance construction processes and efficiencies by developing instruments, tools, and databases.
5. Offer technical guidance, support, and training to project managers, superintendents, and construction laborers involved in tunnel construction.
6. Review project budgets and report cost plans to upper management.
7. Plan work schedules, allocate resources (manpower, materials, equipment), and execute projects.
8. Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders to coordinate site works effectively.
9. Ensure projects are executed according to the work plan and construction drawings, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.
10. Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a University recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore (PEB).
2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in construction.
3. Willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative in improving construction processes.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
5. Fresh graduates with a keen interest in tunnel construction are encouraged to apply; guidance will be provided.
6. Experience in mining, blasting or tunnelling will be highly advantageous.
7. Familiarity with project drawings (drafting) will be considered a plus.
