  • Cloudera is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the global Accounts Receivables team._
  • Job location: Singapore (workstyle Hybrid, 3 days in the office)_
  • Reporting line: Senior Manager of Accounts Receivables_
Role with responsibility for timely collection of invoices to meet cash forecast goals and improve AR subledger metrics. Responsible for building relationships with Cloudera customers in the APAC region.

Responsible for navigating, understanding and documenting specific customer processes that Cloudera should follow in order to achieve right first-time invoice submission and collect payment within contractual terms.

Establish a relationship with Cloudera business stakeholders as needed for alignment on account strategy and communication.

As a Senior Collections Specialist you will:

  • Review the AR subledger daily to identify material transactions.-
  • Establish relationships with customers, identifying the most appropriate and efficient means of communication for each specific account or situation. Communicate frequently and consistently with customers to ensure Cloudera is prioritized for payment scheduling. Issue regular statements of account.
  • Gather from customers, in a timely manner, any additional requirements for invoice approval and work with various Cloudera teams to prepare and deliver the same.
  • Ensure correct set up of Cloudera as a supplier for selected accounts (Bank details, Bank verification, Provision of requested tax forms or other forms as applicable).
  • Proactively identify issues and remove blockers.
  • Liaise with the Sales and Field Operations teams to highlight and devise action plans for aged receivables.
  • Report and escalate issues transparently and timely. Learn to handle locally complex follow ups.
  • Update Tesorio notes and cash forecast predictions to reflect activity performed and estimated payment dates.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed according to Cloudera policies and guidelines.
  • Identify process improvements that will improve DSO, and highlight risk areas. Present to the Sr AR Manager opportunities to participate in early payment programs.
  • Will work towards a monthly collection target.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and participate in projects as determined by the Sr Manager.
  • Support audit tasks as needed.
  • Work closely with other members of the Accounts Receivable team based in Singapore, US, and Ireland.

Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers, must be comfortable reaching out and communicating over the phone, web conference.- Proactive, assertive, and persistent.

Negotiation and persuasion skills.- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.- Excellent communication skills with internal Sales, Field Operations and Professional Services stakeholders.- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and multitask.- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting desired- 5+ years of experience in collections, with understanding of customer AP processes, portal functionality (Ariba, Coupa, Taulia, Beeline, Fieldglass, ecc), approval workflows, typical issues/escalations, and resolution paths.- Working knowledge of Netsuite is a plus.
