  • Job DescriptionAlong with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by her or his supervisor.
  • Oversee the daily production of quantitative market risk metrics and qualitative assessment of potential risks to the company portfolio due to changes in market conditions.
  • Drive continuous improvements of the Market Risk systems, reports, and processes.
  • Responsible for the coordination of Market Risk's Systems personnel in Asia.
  • Organize the daily running of the Market Risk calculations to ensure reporting as per expected schedules,
  • Verify results of calculations match expectations given the methodologies employed, monitor for functional and technical errors
  • Manage the junior members of the team, providing training, guidance, and workload planning
  • Identify areas for improvement (system, process & reporting) and manage endtoend initiatives to enact these changes
  • Assist the Platform Risk Managers to tailor the Risk system to their needs
  • Ensure alignment between the Day-ToDay and the overall risk team goals.
  • Manages and reports on performance within the department or area of responsibility; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; takes appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
  • Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the business area; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these to achieve local business goals.
  • Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
  • Contribute to develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of the risk management and/or control process.


  • Experiences

  • Experienced in Market Risk to carry out the duties described above (7+ years)
  • Good knowledge of commodity trading, especially commodities with a heavy physical component
  • Quantitative finance degree or equivalent experience a plus
  • Experienced in working with Finance/Controllers, Traders and Commercial Management.


  • Skills

  • Organized and process driven, with good understanding of Market risk methods
  • Python and SAS programming
  • Familiarity with a variety of risk systems, Excel, PowerBI
  • Strong analytical capacity, critical thinking, communication, problemsolving, attention to detail, adaptability, interpersonal, time management, and impactful presentation skills are essential.

  • English (Fluent)
  • Required EducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent.
