Job description:
Overall, In charge of the smooth operations of the subsea department.

  • Oversee diving operations for offshore & inshore projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  • To ensure that their execution complies with the legal requirements of OGP, SS511 & IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) and diving systems management of the company and verify with Diving Manager.
  • Assist Director to keep proper records of activities of the operation in order to comply with quality management system.
  • Manage a team of divers and support staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate successful project delivery
  • Liaise / coordinate with client representatives.
  • Assist QHSE Manager to implement and maintain the OHS management system
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on diving operations, including safety performance, productivity, and financial performance
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for diving personnel
  • Respond to emergency situations, providing guidance and support to diving personnel as required
  • Brief all divers and supervisors on the operational & contingency plans and procedures to be followed at the diving site and ensure the diving operation is carried out in accordance with the diving project plan (DPP).
  • Ensure that relevant hazard identification and risk assessment has been carried out for the diving operation.
  • Analyze records & reports to validate their compliance with Company & IMCA/SS51 standards.
  • Ensure all project documentation, dive records and associated documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Plan the mobilisation of diving equipment & personnel by conferring with relevant parties.
  • Liaise with Commercial team and maintain safety of dive team and ensure that the diving operation is carried out from dive site equipped to deal with emergencies as per Emergency response plan.
  • Coordinate project planning and execution, including risk assessments, method statements, and dive equipment preparation
  • Ensure all diving equipment is maintained to a high standard and in line with industry best practices
  • Ensure that the diving equipment is adequate and in good operating condition and liaise with workshop team.
  • Should be familiar with IMCA / OGP compliance audits and procedures.
  • Liaise with the Fleet superintendent regarding the safe and effective operations of the Dive Support Vessel and ensure the vessels are fully operational.
  • Ensure that work carried out according to the schedule.
  • Optimize the use of material and reduce the wastage in the operations.
  • Review training requirements for the diving team.
  • Participate in company audits, both internal and external.
  • Ensure all divers and supervisors are punctual at work.
  • Monitoring of Overtime, allowances and claims by diving and workshop personnel.
  • Compilation of freelance work schedule and liaising with accounts on freelance payment schedule.
  • Ensure day to day operations of the diving projects are covered by suitable diving team personnel and equipment on site.
  • Fully understand and implement the procedures and working practices of Company as laid down in the company manuals and other documentation.

Job requirements:


  • Minimum 10 years combined experience in all aspects of underwater operations air diving, mixed gas, Nitrox, saturation and (W)ROV with at least 7 years as an offshore OCM / OCS / diving supervisor.
  • 3 years or more recent experience as a diving advisor / diving operations manager supporting offshore diving operations.
  • Ex-Offshore Diver is preferred
  • Fully familiar with underwater inspection / construction techniques and equipment.
  • Conversant and has kept up to date with all relevant IMCA guidelines, as well as IOGP diving recommended practices.
  • Be familiar with relevant legislation / guidance in country of project/operations in relation to underwater operations and safety e.g., IMCA Guidance, UK HSE ACOP, IMO regulations.
  • Capable and strong in personally producing precise and accurate reports, audit documents, charts, forms, presentations etc. using word processing software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Must be physically fit
  • Good medical history
  • Possess relevant commercial diving supervisor certificate accepted by Singapore Authority
  • Able to work in a team
