Emergent Risk International (ERI) is seeking to hire a full-time
Supply Chain Security Intelligence Analyst to be based in Singapore to work as an embedded analyst for a major US technology company.

This full-time role will work exclusively with the client on threat and risk-related assessments to the client's supply chain functions, assets and people.

The Position:


Analyst will work in collaboration with the US-based analyst to create a variety of weekly and monthly longer form intelligence products while also crafting and issuing alerts on critical, time-sensitive incidents that meet the escalation threshold.


The analyst will need to be able to respond to quick turnaround taskings, but also take initiative to monitor and alert the security group to a range of threats and issues that could impact the business.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Conduct research using opensource, vendor tools, and social media to provide analysis on geopolitical and privatesector intelligence issues with potential impact to the customer.
  • Work alongside customer's global intelligence team to supply a range of analytical content, meeting all customer deadlines.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer's operations, supply chain, services, transportation monitoring and assets around the globe and track potential impactful global issues.
  • Actively foster internal and external relationships to facilitate better information flow and understanding of the needs of the business.
  • Develop knowledge and proficient capability to utilize ERI's Situation Room platform for information monitoring, dashboarding, and creating live reports for the client company.
  • Actively participate in ERI trainings and workshops to deepen your analytic expertise and business knowledge on a regular basis.

Remuneration and Work Hours:

This role will be a full-time (40 hours per week) salaried position with an attractive benefits package.

The Supply Chain Security Intelligence Analyst will generally work a standard, business-hour day schedule; however, occasional early mornings or later (after 5pm) evenings will be necessary to ensure sufficient overlap with the analyst's US region team member to hand off daily monitoring responsibilities and collaborate on joint projects.


Required Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years' experience, in business, journalism, public or private sector intelligence or geopolitical risk analysis.
  • Experience with supply chain and logistics threat analysis.
  • Experience with quantitative data research and analysis.
  • Excellent Englishlanguage writing skills.
  • Experience with opensource research and social media monitoring.
  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in international relations, international business, journalism, economics or a related field.
  • Proficiency and understanding of social media and opensource intelligence collection and analysis.
  • An inquisitive mind, positive attitude and genuine love of continuous learning.
  • Selfmotivated, able to manage time and prioritize effectively and demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles to get the job done.
  • Quickthinking and response time during crisis events.
  • Demonstrated team player.
  • Must be able to work weekends and occasional holidays as client needs dictate.
  • Must provide employment and educational references.
