Description
SANA Step-Up Centre is a walk-in facility in the community. We support long-term recovery and reintegration for ex-drug offenders and their families through a variety of programmes and services.


Responsibilities:

1.
Community Engagement (Yellow Ribbon Community Project)

  • Coordination with grassroots organisations, government departments and social service organisations
  • Liasing with volunteers in relation to programme execution
  • Provide guidance and support to the grassroots volunteers
  • Assist in drawing up and implementing training program for the volunteers

Clinical Work - Conduct intake assessments, case planning and intervention for walk-in and referral cases. To also conduct group work for existing programmes (e.g., support group, family engagement activities, etc.).

Programme Work - Actively participate in the process of research, planning, implementation and evaluation for programmes to reduce drug-taking behavior in the community (e.g., client programmes, outreach programmes, etc.).

Operations - Work independently and in a team to meet operational functions at SANA Step-Up Centres. Be diligent in completing administrative tasks. Able to work on 1 weekday night per week and some Saturdays when required.


Technical Competencies:


  • Minimum a degree in Social Work
  • Ability to relate with ex-offenders and their families

Core Competencies:


  • Good team player and pleasant disposition
  • Strong conceptual, managerial and organizational abilities
  • Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Mature, Independent and positive work attitude

Preferred achievements / characteristics:


  • Good understanding of the principles of drug addiction and recovery
  • Proficient in speaking Mandarin / Malay
