- Degree/ Diploma in Engineering related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience working with Rotating Machinery in the oil and gas industry and/or power generation industry.
- Experience working on Siemens Energy Gas Turbines and/or Turbo Compressors.
- Good understanding of operations of gas turbine and driven compression equipment and their associated auxiliary systems – air filtration, acoustic packages, lube oils systems, fuel gas systems, seal gas system and other auxiliary systems.
- Ability to work as a team player and contribute to the success of the team.
- Ability to communicate and exchange ideas effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to initiate ideas to resolve complex issues into practical engineering solutions.
- Ability (BOSIET, CA-EBS, MIST, H2S) and willingness to travel to supplier and customer sites to perform site surveys, assessments, customer meetings, and possibly participate in safety discussions.
- Knowledge of the following: IEC, ISO, NFPA, NACE, API, Machinery Directive, EMC, CSA, ANSI, ASME, UL
- Full work rights in Singapore.
- Act as technical consultant to end customer, joint venture partner, project teams, marketing & sales team etc.
- Provide prompt technical response to Customer to keep our customer equipment operating safely.
- Assist and guide Customer to fault find and resolve equipment related technical issues.
- Direct communications with vendors in the solution of auxiliary equipment failure or malfunction.
- Liaise with Product Competency Center (PCC) to seek further support if technical issue cannot be resolved regionally.
- Write fact based technical reports with high level of proficiency.
- Identification of complaints from customer and escalate it through appropriate channels.
- Perform field tests and failure investigation on overall packages and components.
- Support MK&S team to identify new opportunities from technical recommendations provided to the customer.
- Assist Project Team during planning and execution.
- Assist in the training of Company and Customer personnel.
- Provide hands-on service and troubleshooting as required. At times, this will require traveling to site (around 30% of the time).
- Capable and willing to assist the Regional Technical Support Manager in special projects and improvement initiatives.
