Description

The Food Technologist prepares equipment and materials to support product, packaging and process development. He/She assists to gather data and results of experiments to define product specifications. He/She prepares food samples and materials required for tests to determind ingredients and product specifications.

He/She supports the development of food manufacturing processes by assisting in addressing issues faced in food production processes to resolve production, and quality and regulatory compliance issues.

He/She is required to work in a food science laboratory, and should be meticulous in checking that food materials are available before verifying protocols to be used before conducting trials.

He/She should be able to analayse and explore solutions to address issues.

2- 3 years experience in creating product prototypes through experimentation and laboratory tests.

He/She must be prepared to travel overseas.
