Description

Provide technical / architectural consulting for application integration to various business systems.

? Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks.

? Contribute to and maintain system standards.

? Perform ongoing performance tuning and monitoring.

? Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning

? Develop and maintain configuration management tools.

? Install and maintain security patches on the operational and development systems.

? Contribute to new or ongoing regional projects when required. Eg. Configure server hardware, work with cluster technology, install new servers on bare metal and / or virtual machines, help relocate or rebuild existing servers and work on automation to deliver our services.

? Perform and check daily backup operations.

? Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis.

? Make recommendations for team improvements and standard operational procedures (SOP).

? Be able to perform early- or night-shift duty roster.

? Liaise with supplier and vendor to support various application systems and multiple platforms.

? Work closely with regional and global teams in different timezones when necessary.

KEY RESULTS AREAS:

? Minimize the number and severity of system related incidents with measurable improvement in production continuity and resiliency.

? Deliver and maintain a very high support service level through Request Tickets and by strictly following SOP and Change Control processes.

? UNIX patching automation to comply with by developing and contributing to OS patching system to accelerate and increase the

? Ensure regular monthly OS patching meets BNPP Group IT Security Standards without jeopardizing system stability across all platforms in APAC.

Essential Technical Knowledge / Skills:

? Solid understanding of operating system Oracle / Solaris, RedHat / Linux, IBM / AIX and enterprise products running on it, eg Vertias Cluster, Veritas Foundation, EMC PowerPath with storage either on SAN or NAS, Native OS multi-pathing

? IT Security monitoring, audit and authentication tools on ArcSight, CyberArk, Centrify

? System patching tools on RedHat Satellite and IBM BigFix

? Automation and configuration tools on Ansible playbook coding and Puppet

? Strong architecture know how on IBM / Lenovo & HP Blade, p-Series, i-Series and x-Series, DELL Proliant servers.

? Working knowledge of ITIL framework, especially on INC and CHG managements

? Proficiency in handling and contributing to complex IT-related projects. Experience working in a highly motivated project team, perhaps using Agile or Scrum methodology is a must. Know how for writing a proposal, initiating, & planning projects, to executing, monitoring / controlling projects, until and including project closure is preferred but not essential.

? Productiveness team work and strong analytical skills

? Excellent verbal and written skills

? Ability to write scripts in common administrative languages ??(shell, perl, python, Ansible playbook or etc) would be advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience:

? 5+ years' experience working in a similar environment with minimum of 3 years in Finance industry

? Expertise in one or more project skills, eg. PMI, Agile, Scrum, or other (please specify).

? Qualification in ITIL V3 Foundation

? Proficient in tasks such as shell scripting, creating cron jobs, log file analysis, managing user accounts and groups

? Good understanding of IT Security Risk Management and ability to assess the risk and reward for all decisions which will change any aspect of the Production environment.

? Experience of managing projects, business-as-usual work and product roadmap priorities simultaneously.

? Fluent in English (Written and spoken)

? Relishes taking ownership, being totally hands-on and comfortable directly interfacing with people at all levels of the organization.

? Must be:

o Independent, organized, self-motivated, responsible, able to complete tasks with little or no supervision.

? Knowledge on OpenStack, Redhat MRG, Docker, Ansible Tower, Rancher, HP CSA and HP OO, ITRS Geneos,, ELK, MongoDB

? Knowledge on Design Thinking and Agile methodology

? Knowledge and experience with Nutanix or other leading edge Hyper Convergence Appliances.
