Scope and Purpose

MAS regulatory reporting -Responsible for review / preparation of daily MAS reports to ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and compliance with Banking Act and MAS Notices to Banks -Responsible for the delivery of regulatory returns prescribed by MAS Notices to Banks -Review / prepare regulatory reports as assigned, perform variance analysis and address queries from the regulators, business or support units -Prepare MAS/Department of Statistics surveys with variance analysis -Lead/participate in projects and initiatives that impact regulatory reports and system, as well as to improve the regulatory reporting process Annual Audit, Tax related and FATCA/CRS -Responsible for the coordination and preparation of annual Statutory Reporting and disclosures items -Responsible for the tax computation of the branch and all tax matters including supporting Head Office requests-Responsible for FATCA/CRS annual submission -Ensure compliance with regulations such as GST, withholding tax, 3rd party risk etc. -Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants for annual auditing and tax computation and queries Management reporting -Review / prepare Head Office reporting -Review / prepare monthly expenses forecast, monthly actual vs budget report to Branch GM-Review / prepare full year forecast, budget as requested by HO-Respond to ad hoc queries and requests for management information Financial controls-Ensure compliance with Head Office operational guides and local regulations-Review exception/error reports and clear issues in a timely manner Others -Represent Accounting Department for inter-department projects -Undertake automation projects and process enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency-Participate in month-end closing activities-Cover as reviewer/preparer for: accounts payable entries, Ricora bank reconciliation & quarterly GST reports -Handle ad-hoc assignments

Required Experience

At least 10 years' relevant experience in bank accounting

Competencies Required

-Singaporean citizenship or P.R. (Permanent Resident) status -Accounting Degree, ACCA or other equivalent accounting qualifications-High proficiency in English -Strong interest in tasks of the Accounting Department -Detailed, meticulous and possess good problem solving skills -Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines -Fast learner who is self-motivated and an excellent team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills -Strong PC and IT skills, especially in Excel, as well as analytical mind-set in system development & automation process -Ability to understand and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
