About the role

Singapore General Hospital is seeking an experienced data analytics leader to join our team as the Assistant Director (Clinical Analytics and Insights). In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving data-driven decision making across our healthcare organisation. Located in the vibrant Outram Central Region, this position will play a crucial part in improving patient outcomes through advanced clinical analytics.

What you'll be doing

1. Lead a team of data analysts and scientists to generate valuable insights from complex clinical data sets
2. Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics for process improvements and enhanced patient care
3. Develop and implement innovative analytical models and tools to uncover hidden trends and patterns in healthcare data
4. Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for hospital leadership
5. Establish robust data governance frameworks and processes to ensure data integrity and security
6. Continually explore new data sources and analytical techniques to maintain a competitive edge
7. Mentor and upskill the analytics team to build a high-performing, future-ready workforce

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in science, healthcare, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, health informatics or related quantitative discipline. Master's degree is an advantage
2. 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare data analytics, with a strong track record of delivering impactful insights
3. Proven expertise in advanced statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and data visualisation
4. Knowledge of programming languages such as R, SQL, Python or VBA and visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI is an advantage
5. In-depth knowledge of healthcare data structures, terminologies, and regulatory requirements
6. Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills to drive analytics-led transformation
7. Outstanding communication abilities to translate technical findings into meaningful narratives
8. Experience in leading and mentoring high-performing analytics teams
9. Ability to manage stressful situations and work independently under pressure
