Roles & Responsibilities

As a Retail Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the retail operations of our organization.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive sales, enhance the customer experience, and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and vendors. Collaborate with them to align strategies, address concerns, and ensure smooth operations.
Participate in directors' meetings, providing insights, recommendations, and updates on retail performance. Contribute to the overall decisionmaking process and communicate the strategic vision for the retail business.
Oversee both the local retail business and the ecommerce business, ensuring their effective management and growth. Develop strategies to optimize sales channels, synchronize operations, and deliver a seamless omnichannel experience.
Lead and inspire a team of retail professionals, fostering a positive work culture and providing guidance and mentorship. Hire, train, and develop employees to enhance their skills and ensure a high level of customer service.
Develop and manage budgets for retail operations, monitoring expenses, and optimizing financial performance. Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and make datadriven decisions to drive profitability.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of products, negotiate favorable terms, and maintain strong relationships. Conduct vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
Continuously improve the customer experience across all retail channels. Implement initiatives such as loyalty programs, customer feedback mechanisms, and service enhancements to exceed customer expectations.
Stay abreast of industry trends, conduct market research, and analyze competitor strategies. Use this information to identify opportunities, develop pricing strategies, and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks related to safety, security, and loss prevention.
Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, finance, human resources, and operations to align strategies, coordinate activities, and achieve overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field
Proven experience in a senior retail management role or a role in similar capacity
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Excellent strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities
Indepth knowledge of retail operations, industry trends, and best practices
Proficiency in financial management and budgeting
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
