    What the role is

    The incumbent is responsible for establishing SP\xe2\x80\x99s learning and development strategy and recommending programmes and interventions to facilitate the growth of competent and future-ready leaders. You will review, develop and manage the full spectrum of learning policies to support business strategies and plans effectively.
    You allocate the budgets for learning and development programmes to build capabilities in SP. As a section head, you are responsible for setting the direction and articulating goals and objectives for the team. This role also gives you the opportunity to collaborate with HR/L&D practitioners in other Institute of Higher Learning (IHLs) on joint initiatives to enhance staff capabilities across POLITE sector.
    The Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Learning and Development is an inspirational leader with a forward-thinking mindset and a deep passion for developing organisational and people capabilities. You establish and communicate a clear vision, and is highly skilled in influencing and engaging stakeholders to secure their buy-in and support.
    What you will be working on

    Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs analysis through surveys, focus groups, interviews etc. to review and ensure the relevance and effectiveness of learning strategies and frameworks
  • Leverage secondary research and partner key stakeholders / subject matter experts to design, curate and shape content or programmes
  • Develop and facilitate key learning interventions for People Managers to equip them with the mindsets, skills and tools to be effective leaders
  • Analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions and its impact at individual and organisational levels
  • Oversee and coach a team that manages the implementation of training policies, programmes and processes
    What we are looking for

    Requirements
  • Passion and interest in the fields of Leadership/Management, Coaching, Career Development and Learning and Organisation Development
  • Strong conceptual skills with a disposition for learning, experimenting and innovating
  • More than 8 years of experience in the area of learning and development, with preference for candidates with applied knowledge of instructional design, behavioural sciences or related fields
  • Aptitude for or skills in coaching and facilitation
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of staff, including senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
