    Purpose of the role:

    To undertake maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and commissioning duties on Singapore-based response and EHS assets under the direction of the Singapore Maintenance Supervisor and Regional Asset Management and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor or nominated deputy to meet the stakeholder's requirements. In addition to the maintenance, the Maintenance Technician is also required to undertake Singapore base facility maintenance, so it is safe for OSRL employees to work, suitable for the equipment storage and to ensure compliance with the regulations.

    The job holder must ensure that Health and Safety remain at the top of everybody's agenda and regularly reviewed as part of Oil Spill Response's commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment.

    Job Description:

    · To provide safe, prompt and efficient support to the maintenance and operation of OSRL Equipment, Vessels and Facilities.

    · To provide support to spill incidents, exercises, equipment hire services globally as required.

    · Ensure that all activities are carried out with due regard to personal safety, the safety of others and the environmental considerations in line with company policies and procedures.

    · Maintain, repair, upgrade of OSRL assets, including spill response equipment, vessels, dispersant stockpile, equipment hire stockpile in accordance with highest standards under supervision.

    · Troubleshoot equipment defects and develop a scope of work for repair, including any proposed improvement to improve performance or to minimize breakdown.

    · Maintain and update equipment database to ensure response readiness of OSRL assets as instructed by Maintenance Supervisor.

    · Ensure that all equipment testing and supporting documents follow highest standards and regulations.

    · Assist with the maintenance of Singapore base infrastructure (buildings, water, lighting, air conditioning etc.) to ensure that it is fit for purpose and ready to support all required base work and operational activities, in compliance with highest standards and local regulations.

    · Take responsibility in developing his/her own skill and knowledge to aid effective performance in the role.

    · Provide a source of expertise to other departments and assist them as directed by Singapore Maintenance Supervisor and Regional Asset Management and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

    · Assist with coordination of contractors and supervision of contractor works as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Regional Asset Management and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

    · To provide support to other departmental projects as directed by Singapore Maintenance Supervisor and Regional Asset Management and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.

    Requirements:

    • In-depth knowledge on equipment's maintenance and repair.
    • Knowledge of internal combustion engine (ICE), hydraulic system, pump system, pneumatic system and electrical system.
    • Be operational ready to travel immediately as required by the company within a short-notice
    • Be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and confidently with various stakeholders.
    • Strong and effective team working abilities
    • Demonstrate initiative, versatility, adaptability and good problem-solving abilities in challenging environments
