Responsibilities

Collaborate with charterers, brokers, and shipowners to negotiate and secure suitable charter agreements for dry bulk vessels.
Analyze market conditions, freight rates, and vessel availability to make informed chartering decisions.
Ensure that charter contracts are accurately prepared, reviewed, and executed in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Plan and optimize vessel schedules to maximize operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
Coordinate with port agents, terminals, and other relevant parties to ensure timely loading and discharging of cargo.
Monitor weather conditions, port restrictions, and other factors that might impact vessel movements.
Stay informed about market trends, global economic factors, and geopolitical events that could impact dry bulk shipping.
Analyze supply and demand dynamics to make strategic decisions regarding vessel deployment and chartering activities.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, shipowners, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of charter agreements, voyage instructions, and relevant correspondence.
Generate regular reports on chartering activities, vessel performance, and market conditions for management review.
Identify and assess potential risks related to chartering operations, such as voyage delays, contractual disputes, and financial exposure.

Requirements:

Proven experience in chartering operations within the dry bulk shipping industry.
Strong understanding of dry bulk commodities, vessel types, and global shipping markets.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for scheduling, communication, and data analysis.
Knowledge of international shipping regulations and trade practices.
Problemsolving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
