    Roles & Responsibilities

    Job Overview:

    The incumbent will play a pivotal role in leading our local multi-disciplinary engineering team to achieve corporate and project goals. You will serve as the technical expert and leader, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, workflow SOPs, and HSE policies. Responsibilities include supervising, coaching, and mentoring team members, resolving technical issues, and overseeing project documentation to corporate standards.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead Gradiant International Holdings local multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver on both corporate and project goals and objectives and ensure all engineering documents and deliverables are prepared accurately and per required schedule
    • Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert
    • Steward Gradiant Engineering standards, workflow SOP's, and HSE policies
    • Supervise, coach and mentor team members daily.
    • Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the engineering team members
    • Create detailed engineering plans, prioritize and assign tasks and deadlines to team members
    • Propose and oversee budgets and schedules for engineering projects
    • Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and methods used by engineering staff
    • Monitor and determine various staffing and training needs
    • Work closely with Gradiant NPI (R&D) to understand Gradiant's suite of proprietary technologies and transition to commercial applications
    • Work with NPI to understand project specific Heat & Mass Balance and translate to create system PFD's
    • Identify and create project documentation including P&ID, General Arrangement, Manufacturing drawings, Specifications, Material Requisitions, BOM and Equipment Operation Manuals to corporate standards
    • Size and selection of system components including but not limited to Heat Exchangers, Boilers, pumps, blowers, flow pressure and temperature instrumentation
    • Support engineering, project management and deployment groups to identify and resolve technical issues.
    • Provide technical direction as required.
    • Be able to work through problems from a technical and practical prospective, while maintaining cost controls.
    • Work with outside vendors and purchasing to select and establish equipment component specifications, material take-offs, requisitions and vendor orders while coordinating cost control, project schedule and manufacturing efforts.
    • Have the ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary team environment to perform all duties in a professional and timely manner.
    • Have good organizational and communication skills
    • Support Gradiant Subsidiaries across the globe as required

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor's /master's degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering, or other related disciplines plus 15 years' experience in Engineering, Construction, design, or related discipline
    • Familiar and experience with various water and wastewater technologies & EPC projects.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal/communication skills, writing and problem-solving capacities.
    • Reliable, well-organized and detail oriented
    • Applicants must be willing to travel as and when required.
    • Strong communication skills to convey ideas and technical information effectively with team and customers.
    • Excellent customer orientation, willingness to deal with people, be flexible and be able to meet customer demands.
