As an Adaptive consultant, you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we would encourage you to engage on a regular basis.

You will have access to the firm's resources and Know-how and have the opportunity to be involved in training and development at the Firm.


Main purpose of the role:


Simmons Adaptive are currently seeking an experienced negotiator who is familiar with ISDA (including regulatory margin), GMRA, GMSLA, Futures documentation to join our client, a multinational bank.

This is a 5-6 month assignment starting in September 2023 to cover a period of parental leave.


Whilst negotiation will make up 90% of the role, there may also be scope to get involved in other short term projects.


Person specification:


  • You are sufficiently senior and experienced to be able to 'hit the ground running' and to manage workload with minimum supervision.
  • Mandarin skills preferred but not essential.
  • You are Based in Singapore (preference) or Hong Kong.
  • You have in house experience, preferably from a financial institution, desirable.
  • You have excellent academics with the ability to juggle multiple matters, prioritise work effectively and provide timely solutions in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • You can work effectively as part of a diverse and inclusive team and are commercially driven.
  • You are flexible with a willingness to work additional hours on occasion as required.
