What the role is

  • Deputy Manager (Shared Services), Corporate Services Division

What you will be working on

  • Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Team Lead for the daytoday operations of the Shared Services team which include Events management/logistics support, Environmental Sustainability and Corporate Administration services.
  • Perform the following key roles in Events Management/Logistics Support:
a) Collaborate with key stakeholders in the gathering of requirements for events logistics support, planning, preparing, and organizing of divisional events.
b) Manage and prioritise ad-hoc events request.
c) Oversee the timely delivery of events management planning and execution to align with Senior Management and divisions' requirements.
d) Prepare approval papers and draft requirement specifications for the calling of tenders including evaluation and award for the events logistics support where required.
e) Manage the procurement of events management services and oversee the contract management if required.
f) Establish clear targets and timelines for the preparation and execution of events.
g) Establish workflows and standards for events management services in terms of logístical support.
h) Monitor the efficient allocation of resources and the budget allocated for events.

  • Responsible for Environmental Sustainability initiatives:
a) Plan and organise "green" activities for staff to create greater awareness on the various environmental practices in AGC.
b) Plan and collate documents for the relevant (re)certifications/audit of Environmental Sustainability in AGC.
c) Prepare approval papers and draft requirement specifications for the calling of ITQ including evaluation and award for the consultancy services to obtain Green Mark for Healthier Workplaces Certification in AGC's satellite offices where required.
d) Review of AGC's environmental policies and targets on a regular basis.
e) Prepare comms materials (i.e., posters/infographics) to raise awareness on AGC's environmental sustainability efforts.

  • Engage internal/key stakeholders for review and formulation of AGCwide policies/internal guidelines relating to events management/logistics support, environmental sustainability, and other shared services.
  • Review, propose and implement initiatives to enhance service levels and streamline the processes for assigned portfolio.
  • An opportunity to take on other roles assigned under the Operations Department.

What we are looking for

  • Requirements:
  • Qualifications in Events Management, or other equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in events management services (preferably largescale events) and knowledge of Green Mark and Environmental Sustainability would be preferred.
  • Process good writing and communication skills, planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast pace and dynamic office environment.
  • Experience in managing multiple largescale events simultaneously.
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently.
  • Positive, meticulous, resultoriented, analytical and resourceful.
