Description

Provide schools with professional ICT support and additional technical expertise to handle the increasingly sophisticated ICT implementation in schools;

Manage the implementation of ICT projects in schools.
The roles and responsibilities of the ICT Executive shall be as follows:

a) Managing ICT Programs in Schools o Project manage school-initiated projects o Co-ordinate MOE HQ project roll outs for school o Ensure project implementation is adhered to MOE policies, guidelines and standards

Provide progress updates of projects to the Head /ICT
Prepare relevant documentations and guidelines pertaining to the project

b) Business Solution and ICT Planning o Work with the Head / ICT on gathering the ICT needs of the school

Propose solutions that meet the requirements of the schools including technical specifications and market pricing of these solutions

c) Procurement of ICT Equipment & Services o Assist the Head / ICT in purchasing ICT Equipment & Services based on the school's through bulk tenders, calling tenders and quotations

d) ICT Resources

Assist the school and Head / ICT to establish SOP for security of ICT resources

e) Other tasks may include:

Proactive scanning of the market for technology trends and new technology tools that support Teaching and Learning and update school staff.
Be a point of contact for vendors, coordinating ICT project related matters for schools.

ICT Trainer Role

The appointed trainer is expected to be proficient and teach students in the following:

a) Productivity software - e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

Access, Prezi or others

b) Web design - e.g. Dreamweaver, Fireworks, HTML,

CSS, JavaScript or others

c) Graphics design - e.g. Photoshop, GIMP or others

d) Basic video production including sound editing - e.g.

Premiere, After Effects

e) Basic programming - e.g. Scratch, Alice, C++, Python or others

f) Miscellaneous technology - e.g. 3D printing, project management software or others

Scope of work as ICT Trainer includes:

a) Design the scheme of work and syllabuses for all Year 1

& 2 Computing classes;
a) Conduct ICT lessons for Computing classes according to scheme of work;
b) Identify training needs and conduct training courses for staff and students;
c) Assist teachers in deploying ICT infused lessons and assessment to students;
d) Prepare students for ICT related competitions;
e) Assist / provide training for Infocomm Club, Art Club or other school bodies as requested;
f) Digitize past years' exam papers to auto-mark online assessment;
g) Assist teachers in content creation and design;
h) Prepare teaching materials, exercises and projects for the students;
i) Inform/remind students about Computing schedule and take remedial action on absentees;
