Description

The mission of the HO Business Controlling is to plan, monitor and improve the operating costs of all Airbus Business Activities or Functions in Singapore, and to provide decision support on regional financial matters to the APAC Management.

This includes the production of business cases, management reporting, budgets and forecasts, in close coordination with Business/Function Controllers in Europe.

The job holder also provides a regional overview of relevant financial KPIs per Division/Business/Function.

He/she acts as Business Partner to Airbus Singapore's subsidiaries:

  • AATC (Airbus Asia Training Center),
  • AMTC (Airbus Mexico Training Center),
  • AFOS (Airbus Flight Operation Services)
  • Thailand,
  • AMCS (Airbus Malaysia Customer Services).

The HO Business Controlling also:
- ensures the financial consolidation of Airbus Singapore on time and quality,
- signs responsible for Corporate Governance implementation,
- drives simplification and digitalization initiatives in Finance,
- ensures Internal Controls & Compliance alignment towards company directives,
- manages Insurance Risk Management (IRM) activities,
- acts as Bank signatory for Airbus Singapore,
- manages, supports and grows the Finance team.


Job Responsibilities:
Finance Operations and Business Partnering

  • Build a strong customer relationship with Business and Functions managers, providing lean and applicable information,
  • Maintain quality level and timeliness of financial operations: Treasury (invoicing & payment) / Controlling (planning & reporting) / Insurance Management, fully aligned with Airbus expectations and local standards
  • Establish the annual budget and regular forecasts based on local Business needs and Group guidelines,
  • Deliver accurate financial reports (Actuals vs

Plan:
Cost by Nature and Cost by Function), alert and propose actions in case of deviations to local management and Central Controllers in France, Germany or Spain,

  • Secure intercompany budgets with relevant Cost Reimbursement Agreements / Service Level Agreements,
  • Define and run an accurate intercompany reinvoicing process, closely follow up on intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany positions to ensure no discrepancies in quarterly balances,
  • Define strategy and action plan to recover intercompany outstanding invoices in order to protect cash,
  • Manage the company's Cost Accounting system (cost center plan, allocation keys)
  • Drumbeat and deliver company consolidation in FACTS+, liaising with subsidiaries and headquarters,
  • Ensure proper Business reviews for development projects (UTML, Digital Technologies, etc.),
  • Manage the Real Estate financial model (contract management, depreciation, cost allocation),
  • Liaise with external parties: Government agencies, (JTC, EDB, etc.), Auditors, Banks,
  • Take appropriate action (i) to be compliant with Tax regulation regarding the Transfer Price rules, and (ii) to mitigate the Permanent Establishment risk,
  • Ensure successful implementation of projects or Group Finance initiatives,
  • Keep abreast of financial and economic changes.
Team Management

  • Contribute to a positive and inspiring work environment, care about people wellness,
  • Conduct regular reviews with people, develop team members within the Function, and support further career development,
  • Secure team resources with recruitment when needed, and implement succession plans,
  • Coordinate endtoend financial processes within the Finance team (including shared services), and ensure proper training/means for a secure working environment.
Internal Control and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, implement and maintain cash controls, and security measures in line with Group standards,
  • Conduct financial operations in a Controlled Business Environment as per Internal Control roadmap,
  • Identify and manage risks & opportunities (Enterprise Risk Management) to monitor and mitigate Finance risks,
  • Support the annual completion of ICSA (Internal Controls Self-Assessment) and evidence gathering.
Governance

  • Report any major deviation to professional standards in particular to financial auditors, E&C compliance officers and Airbus Finance,
  • Deliver appreciation of financial risks and issues encountered in the course of the business,
  • Take responsibility for the timely completion of statutory accounts,
  • Ensure proper communication to Board of Directors and shareholders,
Transformation and Optimization

  • Implement, align and harmonize Standard Operating Procedures and continuously improve Finance procedures & systems, by looking for leaner processes and value creation,
  • Adapt the processes to Business and organizational evolutions,
  • Drive optimization initiatives together with local actors and stakeholders in Airbus Central,
  • Drive regional business cases for crosscountry improvement initiatives, and provide actionable scenarios and way forward.
