RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Give accurate and timely counsel to the Leadership Team regarding a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to devise market strategies from a legal perspective
  • Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities, etc.), creating relations of trust
  • Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights
  • Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
  • Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to relevant members with in the organization
  • Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation

Requirements:


  • BSc degree in Law or J.D. degree
  • Previous experience serving as an inhouse legal counsel for a startup company is absolutely essential
  • Prior exposure to the fundraising or investments space would be a big plus
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures in different countries across APAC
  • Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information
  • Outstanding communication skills
