    Within our network of eldercare centres island-wide, the goal is to provide appropriate and affordable eldercare service to families who are in need of day care for their senior members and relatives.

    We provide a suite of integrated services and programmes which include social day, dementia, nursing and respite care, along with Rehabilitation programmes such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy, wellness programmes and transportation. Through these services we hope to provide the finest service to the elderly in our care.

    We are looking for a Therapy Assistant to join the team.

    As a Therapy Assistant, you are responsible for providing support to Therapists before, during and after therapy sessions. You will also support department administration and operations as well as participate in continuing education to further your knowledge in the areas of occupation therapy and physiotherapy.

    Responsibilities:

  • Assist Therapist in implementing therapy programs and conducting group therapy.
  • Assist Therapist in monitoring and recording client's vital signs for therapy.
  • Provide feedback on client's progress to Therapist.
  • Adhere to SLEC standard of clinical practice.
  • Adhere to workplace safety and health (WSH) procedures.
  • Practice within legal and ethical framework.
  • Practice infection control measures to ensure cleanliness of equipment and hygiene on premise.
  • Assist in providing a safe and supportive environment.
  • Assist in related administrative duties
  • Maintain and update client files, and print client forms when necessary.
  • Input client attendance to CBCIT.
  • Track client non-attendance and do follow-up calls as needed.
  • Coordinate matters pertaining to upkeep of therapy equipment.
  • Monitor equipment daily and report loss of equipment or malfunctions to supervisor and update on repair status.
  • Assist Therapy Associate to update and maintain equipment inventory records.
  • Update relevant clinical skills related to therapy services.
  • Attending in-service training by the department.
  • Participate in community activities as assigned by PT.
  • Provide feedback to improve department processes and operation issues.
  • Job requirements:

  • Diploma in Healthcare Management and promotion or any other similar discipline.
  • Certificate in Therapy Services (HMI or CSM Institutes)
  • WSQ Certification in Therapy Support.
  • Team player with strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
  • Capable of working independently and under time constraints.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Officer applications.
