Project Title:
Product cell film property characterization through precursor usage reduction for cost saving


Description:


Aim of the project:
cell film process recipe optimization to achieve ~50% precursor gas consumption reduction with matched inline and cell performance.

Scope:

Our Product cell film is identified as a high cost process.

The project is to explore the expensive precursor gas usage process knobs to achieve significant cost reduction without compromise probe yield, critical cell metrics and reliability.


Intern TM will work with diffusion process engineers together and conduct a systematic product cell film property characterization through wet etch rate, metrology, Real Time Defect Analysis (RDA) defect, element composition analysis etc.

by using Micron wafer Fab and Boise R&D Lab tools. Intern TM will be able to learn diffusion process and equipment basic, as well as involving process DOE and result analysis to build a film property versus product cell performance model with mechanism explanation which will be used to guide future cost reduction project direction

Intern will learn leading edge semiconductor material analysis methodology, as well as advanced product Diffusion process and equipment, TM will be able to quickly adopt diffusion film deposition process engineer's job role after complete this internship attachment


Deliverable:


To build a technical curve model and explain with mechanism for precursor gas consumption rate and the performance impact at both inline and probe.


Intern TM to master diffusion film deposition process and equipment through this internship program under diffusion process engineer job scope.


Impact of Project:
Aim to achieve ~50% of material(process gas) cost reduction on cell film.
