Senior Purchasing Executive - Singapore - TIALOC SINGAPORE PTE. LTD.
Description
Task and Responsibility
- Perform all aspect of the procurement function (90%) and oversee logistic (10%).
- Conduct price analysis and formulate purchasing strategies to reduce cost and leadtime.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure materials/services are acquired at optimal terms and conditions.
- Source and select suppliers and subcontractors focusing on price, quality and risk.
- Followup with vendor as well as monitor the progress of logistics to meet project schedule.
- Coordinate crossborder activities with Tialoc offices overseas.
- Identify and evaluate vendors together with Engineering/Project department.
- Meet collection/delivery/shipping deadlines including priority cutoff times and productivity measures.
- Initiate bidding/inquiry process in conjunction with project team.
- Maintain uptodate records of supply chain documents: purchase order, bid proposals & analysis, logistic & procurement reports.
- Maintain and update approved vendor list.
- Maintain vendor as well as update project specific database, purchasing and procurement documents.
- Collaborate with various cross functional teams to drive projects, perform data analytics, dashboard development, and provide business improvement recommendations.
- Ensure cost & benefit evaluations are correctly furnished.
- Provide advice to management to mitigate risk due to poor internal controls.
- Review ISO 9001 procedures in accordance with Procurement function.
Education
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering or relevant discipline
Working Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of working experiences in similar capacity in Engineering industry
- Able to multitask and work independently under a fastpaced environment
- Negotiation, supply chain management and expediting skills
- Possess a high level of initiative and efficiency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in managing junior staff is an added advantage
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- Proficient with MS Office (MS Excel in particular) and ERP System
