    The Project Manager will play a key role in the operational execution of the WtE Facility project in Singapore.

    The project involves the development of a facility with four WtE lines, capable of handling 2,900 tonnes per day, to be completed in two phases by 2031.The project's development will be executed through a multi-tender approach, comprising at least two main contracts - Civil and Structural Build, and Mechanical & Electrical and Building Services.

    RoleThe Project Manager, reporting to the Owner's Engineer Project Director, will focus on the day-to-day management of the WtE Project.

    This role involves hands-on management of project activities, ensuring that the project's operational aspects align with the strategic objectives set by the Project Director and the Client.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES· Implement the strategies and plans, coordinate with contractors and oversee day-to-day construction and installation activities.· Assist in preparing tender documents and participate in the tender evaluation process.

    Coordinate closely with the engineering team for technical specifics.· Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with the overall project timeline set by the Project Director.· Monitor and control project costs within the allocated budget.· Ensure all construction and installation activities meet quality standards and comply with engineering specifications.· Manage contractors on site, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and timeline requirements.· Provide regular operational progress reports to the Project Director.

    Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.· Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.· Lead the project team in daily operations, ensuring effective collaboration and problem-solving.· Ensure that the project adheres to all regulatory requirements and maintains high safety standards.

    QUALIFICATIONS· Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.· Additional qualifications in business or project management (e.g., MBA, PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.· Candidates must possess a minimum of 20 years of relevant engineering experience, specifically in the design and construction of large-scale industrial or utility projects.

    A significant portion of this experience must be directly related to Waste-to-Energy (WtE) projects.

    The candidate's depth of knowledge and hands-on experience in WtE is a crucial factor and will be a primary consideration in the evaluation process.· While WTE experience is highly preferred, candidates with extensive experience in other thermal power plant projects, especially coal-fired plants, may also be considered.

    However, it should be noted that this is viewed as a secondary qualification, and the relevance of such experience to WtE projects will be carefully assessed.
