Office Overview
Singapore office has a mixture of analytical, business development and operational staff.

Reporting to the Regional Head of Operations - APAC, the Operations Manager supports the operations of the office and supervises and provides cover for an Administrator, who handles reception duties, meeting room bookings and general office operations.

In addition, the Operations Manager provides local HR support. The Operations Manager is also responsible for liaison with the Singapore regulator MAS, and Fitch's licensed employees.

The Operations Manager will assume overall responsibility for the day-to-day office management for the Singapore Ratings office, currently around 70 employees.

The Operations Manager will ensure that the office is managed in accordance with global operating standards and will work together with the other regional Operations Managers and the Regional Operations Head - APAC to make sure that Company's 'Working Smarter' strategy is adequately implemented.

The Operations Manager acts as a liaison to central teams such as IT, HR, Facilities, Compliance, Legal and Finance.
General Office Management

  • Act as first point of contact for local staff on general daytoday needs
  • Manage general and routine operations of the local office and any other activities needed to ensure smooth running of local office in accordance with the POA and LOPA, in particular by overseeing the local office administration (mail, availability of supplies, catering, etc.)
  • Remind all staff to adhere and comply with Company's code of conduct, policies and procedures (including T&E policy, clean desk policy etc.)
  • Select, negotiate, conclude, execute and fulfil contracts with local vendors, in connection with office operations under the conditions set in the PoA and LOPA
  • Monitor office expenses prudently without compromising quality, proactively highlight points were costs could be reduced, including obtaining and negotiating quotes for purchases and being aware of promotional pricing
  • Act as intermediary to central departments (IT, HR, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Facilities) as it pertains to local office conditions, coordinate with these functions and respond to their questions under the supervision of APAC Regional Head of Operations
  • Proactively raise and contribute to discussions regarding operational processes and policies, suggest new approaches to foster improvements
  • Organize or supervise organization of office events (e.g. team building, annual events)
  • Support senior management visits (accommodation, schedule)
  • Manage local Administrator and office cleaners
  • Identify opportunities to improve work flow, in conjunction with APAC Head of Operations, regional operations team and colleagues in other regions
  • Manage quarterly meetings for Responsible Officers and Managers in Charge, under MAS regime

HR Support

  • Ensure Employee Central and local employee files hold accurate and uptodate information at all times
  • Ensure that all HR relevant documents are stored and maintained in accordance with local regu
