Social-Emotional Learning Enrichment Workshop


Job Description:


  • To facilitate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) workshops with children ages 712 years old, in schools and community settings
  • This is a freelance position
  • Working hours varies, depending on workshop duration:2day or 3day workshop 3 hours per weekday
(9am-12pm or 3pm-6pm)


Job Functions:

  • Facilitating learning and discussions with small and large groups of children
  • Creating a motivational, fun and inspiring learning experience
  • Ensuring curriculum fidelity by facilitating the curriculum as designed, and developing a mastery of the content
  • Achieving learning objectives
  • Preparation work prior to workshops

Principle skills required:

  • Working knowledge of Social-Emotional Learning needs of children is a plus
  • Have a keen interest to equip children with SEL skills and knowledge
  • Good knowledge of children's different learning abilities
  • Patient and effective conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise way
  • Effective team player in delivery of curriculum with assigned workshop partner
  • A positive attitude

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Counselling, or any other discipline with relevance to SEL or children's holistic development
  • Must be MOE-Registered Instructor
  • Prior experience in conducting workshops with children, preferred
