Your New Role

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

Utilize deep understanding of Survitec product sets to adapt solutions effectively, ensuring they meet customer needs, regulatory standards, and maintain appropriate margins.
Contribute to the setting of Survitec engineering standards and specifications, evaluating their effectiveness and driving improvements where needed.
Analyze detailed proposal information to specify methods, processes, machinery, and equipment required to meet customer design needs within specified cost and quality parameters.
Provide detailed fire system solution specification reviews, adapting them to meet the needs of specific customers and vessel layouts, while adhering to SOLAS regulations and other relevant guidelines.
Produce initial specifications reviews, deviation lists, and drawings to support proposal development and accurate costing to secure business opportunities.
Complete 3D models, general arrangement drawings, and fabrication drawings at contract stage, collaborating with customers, shipyards, and fabrication contractors to refine designs and justify any additional costs outside the initial contract scope.
Build and maintain effective relationships with client engineering teams, fabricators, project team members, sales, and other relevant parties to ensure seamless collaboration and information flow.
Support the sales process by providing design materials and leveraging deep product insight to present product benefits effectively to decision makers and influencers.

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria:

Expertise in 3D software (INVENTOR, SOLIDWORKS, PRO-E) and CAD 2D drawings.
Ability to address design concerns through modeling based on structure and piping stress analyze reports.
Proficiency in conducting hydraulic calculations based on nozzle and piping arrangements.
Strong communication skills, tailoring messages to different audiences effectively.
Resultoriented mindset, consistently achieving goals even under challenging circumstances.
Engineering diploma level education.
5 to 10 years of technical design and modelling experience.

Desirable

Experience in offshore standards, firefighting system and components design is advantageous.
Knowledge of material handling, welding process, NDT, and painting process is beneficial.
