Relief Teacher - Singapore - XCL AMERICAN ACADEMY PTE. LTD.

Description

XCL American Academy is seeking to recruit an experienced and flexible Relief Teachers who can teach or comfortable covering all subjects (Physical Education, The Arts, Design, Modern Languages, Individuals and Societies, Language and Literature Mathematics & Science) for students from Pre-K to Grade 8 to cover full time teachers who are absent on medical or other leaves.

Preference will be given to teachers who have relevant experience in American Common Core Curriculum, as well as a clear track record of teaching in international school settings. Due to the nature of the contract, candidates must be residing in Singapore and be eligible to work in Singapore without an employment pass for this position.

Main Responsibilities

• Teachers should be willing to contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the School.
• Demonstrates to professional ethics, international mindedness and the school's mission
• Adheres cooperatively to XCL policies and regulations, including duties, deadlines, program requirements.
• Seeks clarification in case of lack of clarity to fully meet all expectations of the role and sets and maintains consistently high standards.
• Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment documentation.

Person Specifications

• Preferred minimum 2 years of relevant experience from International School.
• Undergraduate degree from a recognised university or college
• Teacher professional certification specific to applied position
• Possess skills and attitudes aligned to the purpose, mission and vision of XCL American Academy (Singapore).
• Need clear eagerness, resilience and understanding to engage and collaborate in the development of a highly aspirational school
• Have a demonstrated commitment to education and learning beyond the classroom
• Be flexible and willing to take on new challenges.
• A cover position where you will be contacted by the school on ad hoc basis whenever a cover teacher is required to cover classes during teacher's absence.
• Daily rate is $300/- per day.
