    Description

    Pathlight offers a General Education academic curriculum together with life readiness skills for students on the autism spectrum and related conditions. This holistic approach is aimed at maximising the potential of our students and preparing them for life as we strongly believe that every student can learn, with the right support, training and nurturing.

    Due to our rapid expansion, we invite you to join us in transforming the lives entrusted to us as Teacher Aides across our Primary School, Secondary School or Vocational Track.

    As a Teacher Aide, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

    Quality Education Outcomes & Holistic Student Development

    • Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students
    • Assist teachers in preparing and producing learning materials and aids for the classroom
    • Support teachers in guiding students during lessons and classroom activities
    • Support school events and after school curriculum (CCA, remediation, supplementary etc.) to enhance learning experience for students
    • Build strong rapport with students using positive behaviour strategies
    • Support teachers in planning of students' individualised goals and objectives
    • Assist teachers by collecting data to understand student profile and monitor students' learning and behavioural progress

    Professional development

    • Participate in department-wide meetings and professional development activities to upgrade relevant knowledge and skills

    Requirements

    • Minimum qualification: GCE 'N' Level
    • No prior experience required, training will be provided
    • Passion to learn about autism and develop special needs students to maximise their talents and potential
    • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
    • Good problem-solving and organisational skills
