As a
Compliance Officer, you will join the
Compliance Team to further develop the AML/CTF and Sanctions framework, ensure any local requirements are met, ensure regulatory reporting for MAS and participate in group compliance projects to implement the ongoing licensing obligations in one of the most regulated crypto exchanges in the world.

What you'll do

  • Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to further develop the AML/CFT and Sanctions framework for Bitstamp.
  • Create, update and review Bitstamp's local compliance manuals ensuring any local requirements are met and corresponding controls are put in place.
  • Work with Bitstamp's Operations Team to ensure regulatory reporting for MAS.
  • Create and maintain reporting dashboard regarding the status of the overall compliance program and related AML/CFTrelated projects.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, locally and globally, ensuring the oversight and implementation of Bitstamp's AML/CFT program complies with MAS AML/CFT regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the CCO in implementing the ongoing licensing obligations
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments and performing gap analysis to ensure adherence.
  • Produce and ensure timely reporting of AML data both internally and externally. Preparation of MAS AML reports.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to improve effectiveness of AML reporting.
  • Perform comprehensive investigations on alerts and cases escalated to the Compliance Team in accordance with Bitstamp's processes.
  • Drafting Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and liaise with key local regulators and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in group compliance enhancement projects and review of new products.
  • Work closely with data/product/technology teams to design tools and solutions and facilitate user acceptance testing and system implementation.

On day one you'll bring

  • Sound understanding of MAS regulations on AML/CFT/Sanctions.
  • Familiar with AML framework, control activities and processes.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant handson experience in AML Investigations/ Compliance reporting or in AML project management.
  • Selfstarter: take initiative, be dedicated, and be creative to achieve your goals.
  • Recognized university degree in Business or Finance.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English (mandatory).
  • A keen interest in Crypto industry.
