The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

    About the team

    It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

    As a Program Manager on our Trust and Safety team, you are responsible for monitoring key metrics of systems, setting product operations processes to ensure that product strategies deliver better business value, programs and systems work together across our many apps to protect consumers and prevent abuse. You will work to push projects and operational changes forwards, implement policy changes and define new processes. You coordinate between product managers, operations teams, and policy specialists to get things done.

    What will I be doing?

    You will be responsible for the Risk detection & Escalation process, including collecting all feedback channel cases, tracking and handling, and running case studies for strategy optimization.

    You will manage search result, search recommendation, and GPT bot experience by collecting user feedback and hard cases, conduct the root cause analysis, and come to strategic suggestions to product strategy changes;

    You will ideate and manage projects and initiatives related to search strategy and policy;

    You will set up key metrics and monitor the data performance to find potential problems and work with product manager to propose solutions;

    You'll analyze operations teams and processes – identify and remediating inconsistencies, improve cooperation efficiency and strategy effectiveness through product and process operations.

    What should I bring with me?

    You have significant experience in a Product or Trust & Safety Operations role with knowledge of issue areas like Minor Safety, Hate speech, Violent Extremism or Bullying;

    You have a very good sense of data and can combine data performance with product strategy to solve problems through operational means;

    You have a proven track record of pushing ambitious products operation, and/or organizational or process changes through to completion in a matrixed and multicultural environment;

    You have an understanding of the landscape and new policy developments in new media, tech, and the entertainment industry.
