    Roles & Responsibilities

    UFA, Inc., a global leader in developing Air Traffic Control (ATC) simulation and voice recognition technologies, is seeking an IT (Information Technology) Specialist for our Singapore Branch Office. Our IT Specialists are a key component of our operations by providing testing, installation, training, and support services for our domestic and international clients and by collaborating between the software development and support teams as well as the end user to ensure that our systems meet and exceed expectations.

    This is a position that may include worldwide travel to customer sites, symposiums, trade shows and UFA offices in USA and Germany. The successful candidate must show initiative, excellent judgment, career aspirations for increased role and responsibilities, and a demonstrated willingness to work as a team.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Successful candidate will be using their Information Technology (IT) expertise and experience to support both internal UFA and external Customer activities for our Asia Pacific commercial and military programs. Specific responsibilities include the following:

    • Providing IT support for the Singapore office and Asia Pacific programs including but not limited to hardware and software configuration and set up, troubleshooting of basic connectivity and data access problems, and fielding technical questions about hardware and software
    • Providing IT technical expertise and support to our programs, business development, sales and marketing, as well as engineering in Asia Pacific
    • Onsite customer support
    • Conducting customer installations and training
    • Writing and maintaining training materials and user manuals
    • Contribute to the planning, preparation and execution of tests for customer projects
    • Develop test cases and procedures to ensure coverage of and conformance to business requirements
    • Provide analysis and execute testing as required
    • Tracks defects and causal analysis to closure
    • Researching new technologies and software in support of research and development ventures
    • Providing user support to our broad base of commercial, civil and military Customers

    Requirements:

    • Diploma or Degree in IT/Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or a related field
    • Minimum of 3 years in IT Support role with experience in Windows server/workstation configuration, windows networking, active directory and Powershell scripting
    • Strong interest in the field of Simulation software, Aviation and Air Traffic Control is a real plus
    • Excellent English and Mandarin oral and written communications skills are required
    • Hardware, software and technical aptitude
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Show initiative, self-discipline, excellent judgment, career aspirations for increased role and responsibilities, a demonstrated willingness to work as a team with the ability to work alone with engineering support
    • Previous experience with software-based standalone or embedded ATC simulation products is a real plus
    • International travel may be required with some trips up to 3 weeks duration
