    Roles & Responsibilities

    Purpose of the Job

    The Decarbonisation Analyst supports the Decarbonisation Manager in driving emissions reduction initiatives and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role involves analyzing emissions data from vessels, assisting in the development and implementation of Decarbonisation strategies, tracking progress towards emission reduction targets and supporting budgeting and projection of basic financial data (such as related to emission/fuel taxation, project management budgets)

    Key Responsibilities

    Emissions Data Analysis:

    • Collaborate with the Decarbonisation Manager to analyze emissions data from company vessels
    • Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for emission reduction
    • Perform modelling and simulations to project emissions and assess impact of potential mitigation measures

    Strategy Support:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive Decarbonisation strategies aligned with the company's sustainability goals
    • Provide analytical support in defining clear objectives and targets for emission reduction initiatives.
    • Contribute to the evaluation of fleet rejuvenation programs and alternative fuels adoption plans from an emissions perspective

    Vessel performance monitoring:

    • Tracking vessel emission performance including compliance to business and regulatory requirements (IMO regulation such EEXI, CII, EU ETS, and FuelEU maritime requirements)
    • Support in ensuring fleet compliance with applicable emission regulations and standards.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance challenges and implement necessary measures

    Reporting and Records management:

    • Maintain accurate records relating to emissions data and ensuring data integrity.
    • Maintain vessel performance and project management records including related financial and technical records.
    • Prepare regular reports for management, providing updates on Decarbonisation initiatives, progress towards targets, and compliance with regulations

    Qualification

    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science or Statistics, or a Business Analytics degree
    • Minimum [5] years of experience in field related to carbon management, marine environment, sustainability.
    • Experience in supporting Project management preferably in maritime sector
    • Basic understanding of international environmental regulations and frameworks
    • Experience and expertise in scenario and projection modeling projections based on business requirements.
    • Proficiency in use of MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic familiarity in use of Enterprise resource solutions such as Oracle or SAP.
