    Roles & Responsibilities

    MISSION

    The Special Needs Teacher develops specialized assistance practices that are as close as possible to the student's needs and difficulties. Through observation, attentive listening and collaborative work with the teaching and educational teams that he/she tries to get to know the student better, understand him/her and support him/her.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Accompany students with special educational needs, within the framework of the GAIN (support and integration group), by working with students in pairs or in small groups
    • Knowledge of remedial tools to help students learn how to learn
    • Following the progress of these students with the members of GAIN and the Educational management
    • Participating in educational team meetings and weekly meetings with Educational management
    • Participating in cycle dialogues to help teachers with differentiation in class, as well creating and monitoring groups based on needs if necessary
    • Designing and implementing assessment methods of student's learnings, in liaison with other teachers or professional partners
    • Support teachers in differentiating learning to facilitate entry into school and early learning
    • Help to ensure that IFS is inclusive
    • Promoting the socialization of students in the school
    • Welcoming, informing and meeting students' parents
    • Participate in educational meetings (School Follow-up Team and Educational Team)
    • Providing personalized follow-up of students in relation with families and participate in their educational project
    • Contributing to the school's operation and to teamwork
    • Using information and communication technologies to support learnings

    SKILLS,ABILITY AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

    • French Ministry of Education tenured teacher
    • Complementary certification CAPA-SH, CAPPEI required
    • Experience in special needs teaching adapted for children with disabilities
    • Experience in kindergarten and elementary education required
    • Preferably with experience abroad or in international schools
    • Knowledge of French curriculum is a plus
    • Ability to adapt and benevolence
    • Very good writing and speaking skills
    • Strong ability to work in a team and to invest in projects
    • Good use of IT education softwares
    • Ability to adapt to Francophone and non-French students
    • Ability to provide instruction adapted to a wide variety of students
    • Ability to work in a transversal and multidisciplinary way
    • Proficiency in English (B2 level) is a plus

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Full time position (27 hours of teaching/week)
    • Remuneration will be based on company salary scale
    • Starting date: End of August 2024
