    Roles & Responsibilities

    What to expect:

    • As a UX designer, you are the frontliner to inform product and design decisions with our scrum team and other cross-functional teams. This will involve having good active listening, system thinking and stakeholder management skills.
    • You will work closely with other UX designers, engineers, business analysts and product owners to continuously deliver features for transforming the experience for parents, students, teachers and staff and improving agency efficiency.
    • Within your first month... You should have understood the overall product roadmap and vision for OnePlacement, figured out how the Scrum Team works with the product owner and other key stakeholders holistically and contributed design screens for the current and upcoming agile sprints.
    • By the end of 3 months... You should have run a few refinement sessions with the product owner, co-creates user flows, prototypes with stakeholders and scrum team, tested and delivered final screens for a brand new feature.
    • After 6 months... You should have proposed important considerations that could further improve user experience, with consideration of policy intent and operation challenges, and made meaningful changes in collaboration with designers, engineers, business analysts and product owners.
    • Beyond that...
      You should continue to apply system thinking and solve bigger problems such as:
      ● create a frictionless experience for parents, students and staff across different digital products
      ● break the status quo with holistic service design and improve efficiency

    We want you if you have:

    • Good communication skills in justifying design rationale with stakeholders
    • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, business analysts and product owner to deliver and evolve features
    • Good problem-solving skills, are meticulous and pay attention to detail
    • Degree or Diploma in Human-Computer Interactions, Design, Psychology, Computer Sciences or related fields
    • 3-5 years design experience in Agile development environments with end-to-end delivery include facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, usability testing, envisioning flows, and delivering hi-fidelity mockups
    • Experience in web design and development, with a portfolio that demonstrates your experience navigating complex problems and crafting user-centric design solutions
    • Expertise in using Figma as main design tool; Technical experience in using design systems in designing screens has added advantage
    • Experience in Responsive Web Design for digital services and Service Redesign for both front-stage to back-stage is a plus
