**DESIGN MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION: - Responsible for the design management of firm's projects, assisting the Project Director and Project Managers to formulate project schedule in conjunction with the production of shop drawings complying to all necessary technical requirements per project specifications.

Responsible for the resource management of the assigned projects, such as to assist the Project Director and Project Manager in organizing design team to promote and complete the assigned tasks;
Responsible for the production management of the assigned projects, such as to produce drawings, presentation materials, design reports, and other relevant documents which are required as daytoday design process and deliverables as per contracts of the assigned projects;
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Producing and managing a group of draftsmen in ensuring that all shop drawings output and materials proposed / used are as per specifications.
Proposal and presentation of material samples by overseeing the selection, requisition of materials and plants and necessary liaison and arrangement of Material Tastings with Subcontractors, Suppliers and Testing Body.
Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, draftsman team and operatives;
Liaising with any consultants, PE Engineers subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project for necessary submissions;
Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and bylaws;
Responsible for overseeing and approving cutting lists for procurement and fabrication purposes;
Responsible for the client management to establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships.
Responsible to creatively interpret design briefs to create concept, schematic and detailed designs and construction documentation to an international standards
