Description

Overview / Responsibilities:
1.0 RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PROJECT ACTIVITIES

1.1 Carry out electrical system studies.

1.2 Prepare electrical job specifications and datasheets.

1.3 Execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, codes and standards.

1.4 Perform activities such as - issue of material requisitions and technical bid evaluations as per relevant Technical Practices.

1.5 Review Vendor drawings and documentation as per relevant Technical Practices.

1.6 Follow the ethics of confidentiality on technologies licensed by Client or Third Party.

1.7 Ensure project filing is maintained as per Quality Procedures.

1.8 Liaise with other groups as necessary.

1.9 Ensure timely production of deliverables.

1.10 Populate CMMS database.

1.11 Carry out proper closeout of all project related work.

12 Keep Lead Engineer informed about matters related to the following:


  • Any major issue (design, schedule or manpower) the causes and proposed corrective action.
  • Any unresolved difference with other Groups.
  • Any request for changes by the Client which may constitute a contract change.


1.13 Attend internal FW and Vendor co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings as required in order to establish full understanding of scope of supply and all FW/Vendor interfaces.

1.14 Ensure high quality of work within the established/assigned man-hour budgets and schedule targets.

2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES FOR NON-PROJECT RELATED WORK

2.1 Update corporate engineering specifications.

2.2 Populate discipline electrical database.

2.3 Suggest new software, books and standards.


Skills / Qualifications:
1.0 REQUIREMENT

1.1 Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in Refinery/ Petrochemical/Chemical/Power/Pharmaceutical Plant Projects.

1.2 Knowledge of electrical power systems, international codes & standards and Industry accepted electrical engineering software's.
